THE 2013 SCRIPT COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED!
For 2013 Underwire, in partnership with Euroscript, have launched their first ever script competition! We are looking for submissions from female scriptwriters of short films scripts no longer than 15 pages long. A shortlist of 5 scripts will be announced, with a winner being selected to have their script workshopped at Underwire Festival 2013 in November - exciting stuff!

So, a little more about the do’s and dont’s:

* the screenwriter must be a woman, and must be the sole author of the work (so unfortunately no male/female writing parterships)

* the screenwriter must be British, or residing in the UK currently

* the script must not be longer than 15 pages (but it can be less)

* the script must be a complete film script, not a excerpt

* the script can be any genre

* the script cannot be an adaptation

* the script must not have been put into production

* the script must be in script format

* the script must be submitted as a PDF

* the script must be in the english language

* when the script was written will not come into consideration (ie. if you wrote it 5 years ago, that’s ok!)

Closing date for submissions is Friday 16th August.

We will announce the shortlist and winner by 20th of September.
