Underwire Festival wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of our sponsors and partners every year. VET Post Production have been on board since the very first year of Underwire and have continued to fulfil all of the festival’s post production needs as well sponsoring out Best Editor Award. Each year we send them all of the films and they do their magic to make sure they look their best up on the screen. This year we’ve delivered a massive 65 films to them to be a part of this year’s programme.

As well as saying a massive thank you, we wanted to let you in on the behind the scenes action that happens at VET before they give us the films.

Elif at VET Post Production has been the runner for Underwire Festival this year and here’s what she has to say about her experience:

I’ve had great fun working with the films for Underwire Festival, perhaps even too much fun!

Watching 11 hours of short films may sound like the best, or worst, thing ever - depending on the person. But to me, it’s the best thing.

I’ve checked EACH file for problems so I’ve viewed every film, more than once. It’s been like riding a rollercoaster of emotions. One moment I’ll be giggling wildly and the next I’ll be close to tears, sometimes emerging from a viewing slightly disorientated - to the concern of my colleagues!
The diversity of films in this year’s festival is incredibly exciting and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the talents of just a few of the many inspiring women working in film.I’ve got my favourites - but I’m not telling ! Come along to the screenings and awards to make your own choices.
I’ve learnt so much from this experience and will carry it with me for many years to come.
Long Live Underwire!
BTW: I wasn’t working on Underwire single handedly, so credit where it’s due to Dan, Ben, Benjamin, Kash, Sherelle and the whole team at VET Post Production
