After the sudden passing of his mother, Luke (Steve Brandon), a determined young man with Down’s Syndrome, is thrown into a state-funded home and stripped of his independence. Initially withdrawing from his new surroundings and its residents, he finds an unexpected ally in outgoing staff member Eve (Shana Swash) who slowly breaks down his resistance to change. With a standout performance from lead Steven Brandon and a strong supporting cast, My Feral Heart is a beautifully realised debut by director Jane Gull.
