Activism has become one of the defining interests of our generation. While protests and civil unrests are dominating the news, peer-to-peer support and individuals on a mission with huge followings are dominating our small screens. Women, non-binary and trans people have been at a forefront of political battlefield and personal battles. From climate change to human rights, sexual politics to body positivity, we look at how young female filmmakers have been capturing the world around them in this programme of thought-provoking short films curated by Girls in Film (GiF), a global network for a new generation of female filmmakers worldwide.
