A different take on the female gaze that aims to unpack masculinity onscreen. Sensitive and provocative shorts that don’t shy away from challenging subjects. SEX ED
Ed teaches Sex Education in schools, a job he usually loves.

A man get his first phone call to his daughter after being sent to prison.

RED HILL
Jim, an isolated ex-miner who works as a night-shift security guard faces his last day at work before retirement. He spends the night patrolling the slag heap of a former coal mine - a remnant of Scotland’s industrial past. The film explores the intrinsic relation of an individual to work and asks what’s left when, at the end of a lifetime of labour, a man loses his purpose.

A man drives his car slowly through a carwash and leaves an affectionate answer phone message for his young daughter. As he recalls their weekend together and memories from her childhood, it becomes clear that this is more than just a catch-up.

BEING KEEGAN
Growing up in Liverpool Football Club’s 1970’s heyday, 10-year-old Jay and his best friend Sean spend their days playing football in the backstreets of marginalised Liverpool, gripped by the rise of celebrity footballer Kevin Keegan. When tragedy strikes, it changes their lives forever. We follow Jay’s journey as he returns home after 25 years and explore the ramifications of childhood trauma into adulthood.
