As if the Underwire 2013 Script Competition wasn’t hot enough, we’re excited to reveal today that Underwire 2012 Scriptwriting Winner Francesca Fowler is to join the judging panel.
Francesca Fowler is a British born actress/writer. Starting out in acting, Francesca has worked alongside some of the most prominent names in British Television. Some of her credits include BBCs Dr Who, HBOs/BBCs Rome, ITVs Bad Girls, and two-part drama Like Father Like son. As well as independent feature films such as Straightheads starring Gillian Anderson.
Alongside her acting, writing was always a strong hobby which over time progressed into the second string of her career. Producing by default, Francesca has written and produced numerous short films and projects with her partner writer/director Duncan Roe. Her latest short film being Pitfall, a dark drama that won her the Best Scriptwriter award at Underwire Film Festival 2012.
Currently about to star in short film Ciara, a drama set amongst the IRA conflict. She is also in development for producing her debut feature film co written with Duncan. Shooting commences in Nov’13.
