With only a week to go we wanted to bring our backstage spotlight home to our amazing Underwire team. This year we’ve taken the big step of going from two to five! This amazing bunch of ladies have been working their butts of, for free, around a plethora of other jobs, to bring our 2012 programme together and make it run (very) smoothly next week. So we wanted to tell you a little more about ’em so you can come and say hello next week at the Ritzy….
Chloe Trayner has been working with us as Festival Assistant for the past few months. Chloe studied in Leeds with a focus on film production before moving back to London and starting work in film festivals and distribution.
We love her because she’s such a go-getting do-er.
Her favourite on-screen heroine is Charlotte from Lost in Translation.
Paige Gresty has been working with us at Tour Assistant for the past few months, and has taken the helm of Volunteer Coordinator for the 2012 Festival. She is a writer and filmmaker from Washington, DC who has worked at the BBC, The Frontline Club, and has written professionally for various online publications.
We love her because she’s an unflappable sorter-outer.
Her favourite on-screen heroine is Cloe from Cloe from 5 to 7.
Katie Steed is on-board as our Filmmaker Liaison. Katie loves promoting new film talent through her work with film festivals and also runs her own short film nights under the alias Whirlygig Cinema.
We love her because she’s a warmhearted unstoppable emailing machine.
Her favourite on-screen heroine is Mary from Mary and Max
