Emily Blickem for ‘Grace’

Nine-year-old Grace, lives a latch-key life. Running the bleakest of errands for her drug addicted Dad. She seeks solace in a fantasy existence of sequinned leotards, arabesques and audience applause, as she skates her way through the local housing estate to score from her Dad’s favourite dealer. On the way home, a run in with some local older girls, makes her drop the gear, but ever resourceful Grace has an ingenious plan, but then the police show up.
